GAINESVILLE — When Rae O. Weimer came to the University of Florida in 1949 to lead the Florida’s first journalism school, he arrived without a college degree or any professional teaching experience.

College Of Business Administration To Be Named For Al Warrington

GAINESVILLE — It wasn’t all business as usual Friday (10/11) for the University of Florida College of Business Administration. Texas businessman Alfred C. Warrington IV announced he had made a gift commitment to the college that will result in a private endowment worth more than $11 million. University officials are planning to name the College of Business Administration in honor of Warrington.

UF President Names Dr. Elizabeth Capaldi As Next Provost

GAINESVILLE —University of Florida President John Lombardi today announced that the school’s next provost will be Dr. Elizabeth “Betty” D. Capaldi, a respected educational leader whose current titles include psychology professor, director and special assistant to the president.
