National

One element that makes Wildlife Forever unique is our emphasis on grass roots in-the-ground conservation projects. However, there are occasion in which a particular need is so broad that a national approach is both more cost effective and efficient.

Wildlife Forever supports a number of ongoing national projects. Listed below are some of those national projects along with a brief description and a link to more information.

Wildlife Forever Education Projects

The future of fish and wildlife conservation will ultimately depend educating future generations of the importance of conserving our natural resources. For that reason, Wildlife forever is a leader in conservation education for children.

The Wildlife Forever CD-ROM Curriculum provides teachers and homeschoolers with 14 lesson plans to help incorporate conservation topics into the traditional subjects such as math and English. The spiral bound Curriculum facilitates easy photocopying of the lessons and worksheets. The Curriculum is tied to an interactive computer CD that lets students explore nearly 70 species through audio, video and still photography.

Wildlife Forever’s aquatic lesson plan, “Fish On!”, encourages learning about fish and fish habitat using art as a fun extension activity. Classrooms using Fish On! Can also enter their artworks in the State-Fish Art Contest. Fish On! is free for downloading.

Wildlife Forever’s Critter Pocket Guide Series is a series of state-by-state books that provide kids with a pocket-sized reference to the critters of their state. An effective companion to the CD-ROM Curriculum, the full-color books provide kids with an in the field guide to what a critter looks like, its tracks, habitat, reproduction and more. Wildlife Forever has published individual critters books for seven states with two currently in production. Our goal is a critter book for every state. Critter books can be found in books stores across America or for sale online.

Critter Boxes

Wildlife Forever works with the disabled American veterans at the Milwaukee VA to produce wood duck, bluebird and bat boxes. Available for purchase by the public at nearly our cost, Wildlife Forever also distributes critter boxes across the country for conservation groups, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and schools to use as a conservation activity.
