The mission of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is "to develop, integrate,

Canadian Phytopathological Society
The Canadian Phytopathological Society (CPS) is a scientific society
that was formed in 1929 as a nonprofit organization to enable plant pathologists to meet and discuss their
common interests in teaching and research of plant diseases. CPS has more than 400 members in Canada and
abroad, and the Society is entirely run by volunteers. Its membership has expertise in all facets of plant
pathology, and includes a wide variety of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, research associates,
technical assistants, extension plant pathologists, research scientists, and professors from federal and
provincial governments, universities, and companies involved with plant health. The objectives of CPS are
to encourage research, education, and the dissemination of knowledge on the nature, cause, and control of

Edison College
Golf Course Operations
Edison College is southwest Florida's community college. The Golf Course Operations Program at Edison College
supports the Plant Management Network. This two-year program is designed to prepare students to become golf course superintendents.
The core classes within this 69 credit hour Associate in Science Degree program are structured to help the turfgrass student
establish and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base with respect to all golf course related turfgrass management issues, including
turfgrass science, soil science, irrigation, and pest management. Courses in these disciplines help the student to gain a high degree
of proficiency in the language and operations of the turfgrass/golf course industry. All classes are offered during evening hours to
accommodate full-time work schedules. Students at Edison College may also pursue the 60 credit hour Associates in Arts Degree with an
emphasis in Golf Course Operations. Through a cooperative agreement between Edison College and the University of Florida, golf course
operations students who complete this AA degree will be granted admission into the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the
University of Florida to pursue a baccalaureate degree in Turfgrass Science.

The National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants (NAICC) is a national organization
representing 500+ crop consultants and contract researchers across the country. Independent

National Plant Diagnostic Network
The National Plant Diagnostic Network (NPDN) was established by the Cooperative State Research,
Education, and Extension Service (CSREES) to develop a network linking plant and animal disease diagnostic facilities across the country.
Consequently, NPDN is a collective of land grant university plant disease and pest diagnostic facilities from across the United States.
Its mission is to enhance national agricultural security by quickly detecting introduced pests and pathogens. That mission is achieved

As an 1862 land-grant institution, North Dakota State University addresses issues facing North Dakotans through the
