PublicationsThe Center produces a variety of publications for researchers, farmers, students, educators, and home gardeners. Center publications include The Cultivar newsletter—for more than 25 years this free newsletter has kept a worldwide audience up to date on the program's activities. The Cultivar reaches more than 2,500 readers in 65 countries and many more via the web. The Center also publishes a Research Briefs series, as well as For the Gardener "tip sheets" for organic gardeners, the News & Notes of the UCSC Farm & Garden newsletter, and instructional materials, including the popular Teaching Organic Farming and Gardening: Resources for Instructors, and Teaching Direct Marketing & Small Farm Viability: Resources for Instructors.
