Golden Voices to bring in holiday season with annual concert
The world renowned Tuskegee University Golden Voices Choir will bring in the holiday season with their annual Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 7, in the University Chapel. The performance, which begins at 6:30 p.m., precedes the lighting of the University Christmas tree. The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2008 All-Conference Football Team, All-Academic Team and Superlatives on Wed., Nov. 19. The Tuskegee Golden Tigers landed nine players on the all-conference team, four on the first team and five on the second team. Two Golden Tigers made the all-academic team.

Marching Crimson Pipers set to make sixth appearance in Battle of the Bands
The Marching Crimson Piper Band made the cut for the seventh annual Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational Showcase. The high-stepping, energetic ensemble will perform Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The Tuskegee band and nine other Historically Black Colleges and Universities' bands were chosen through a combination of online voting by fans and a selection process involving HBCU band directors and university presidents.
