|  January 24: Introduction to Ornamental Garden Pruning
In this class, we will start with the basics of ornamental pruning: proper tools and tool care; the three basic pruning cuts (mechanics and techniques); the anatomy of a branch, and where to make a cut; and demystifying the plant-where to begin and how to proceed. After lunch we will go into the field and practice what we have learned. Dress appropriately for the weather, and bring your own hand pruners.
