Description: The 1964 timber harvest was 6.2 billion board feet—an increase of 15 percent over 1963 (table 1). Total timber harvest for both western Washington and the State reached the highest level since 1929. A new all-time high in production was also recorded for eastern Washington—1 billion board feet.
