Description: This guide identifies 49 common plants of coastal Alaska muskegs. Plants are divided into six major groups: clubmosses, ferns, sedges, herbs, shrubs, and trees. Illustrations and short descriptions of each plant are provided, along with a simplified key to aid in identification. The guide has been prepared with the amateur botanist in mind, and technical terminology has been largely eliminated. A glossary and illustrations are provided to explain the botanical terms used.
