Welcome!
No matter where you're from, you've come here because you hope to learn something about the ocean, the Oregon coast or the work of Oregon Sea Grant. Maybe you're looking for a marine research grant; maybe you want to know more about threatened salmon or invasive species; maybe you're just curious about the sea.
You've come to the right place.
Oregon Sea Grant, founded in 1968 and based at Oregon State University, supports research, education and public outreach to help people understand, responsibly use, and conserve ocean and coastal resources.
We're part of a national network of Sea Grant College Programs, organized under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in collaboration with major universities and in partnership with hundreds of public and private marine enterprises.
What does that mean to you?
- Good science by top marine scientists, rigorously reviewed
- Outreach and education programs designed to deliver the fruits of that research to those who can use it.
- Outstanding publications and award-winning videos about the ocean and coastal world.
Look around. And let us know how we're doing. We welcome your comments and questions.
