Nutrition and Physical ActivityPhysical activity and healthy eating are essential for good health. Unfortunately, too many Oregonians have poor eating habits and are not active enough. Inactivity and poor food choices contribute to obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer and diabetes – leading causes of disease and death in Oregon. Poor eating and physical inactivity combined are the 2nd preventable cause of death in Oregon and the U.S. – only tobacco kills more people.
