Infineon Technologies AG is a semiconductor company. It designs, develops, manufactures and markets a range of semiconductors and complete systems solutions used in a variety of microelectronic applications, including computer systems, telecommunications systems, consumer goods, automotive products, industrial automation and control systems, and chip card applications. Its products include standard commodity components, full-custom devices, semi-custom devices and application-specific components for memory, analog, digital and mixed-signal applications. The Company has operations, investments and customers located in Europe, Asia and North America. Its core business is conducted through its Automotive, Industrial & Multimarket segment, and its Communication Solutions segment. Its memory products business is conducted through its majority owned subsidiary, Qimonda AG.
