FEATURES

• A Celebration of Women Writers provides a comprehensive listing of links to biographical and bibliographical information about women writers, and complete published books written by women, in collaboration with The Online Books Page. It also has a growing collection of over 300 books specially prepared for the Celebration.
• Banned Books Online gives links to selected books from The Online Books Page that have been the object of censorship or censorship attempts. You can read for yourself what somewhat felt was too dangerous to let people read. There are also some pointers to current censorship-related stories.
• Prize Winning Books Online gives links to online books that have been honored with major literary awards, including the Newbery Award, the Nobel Prize, and the Pulitzer Prize. Read great literature, and see what kinds of books spoke most strongly to different parts of this past century. Many books that have won these awards are not yet online; the exhibit also lists titles of books that could be placed online by interested volunteers.
