Partnerships that work

NC State students don’t just earn degrees, they receive a quality education, grounded in real-world application and experience fueled by hands-on research opportunities, on-the-job internships, career connections and, often, scholarship support. As a research-intensive university, NC State is at the center of academic, government, business and research partnerships. Many of these partners are located on Centennial Campus and nearby at Research Triangle Park,  the world’s largest research park.

These partnerships provide NC State students a window into current industry developments, keep faculty on the cutting-edge of their fields, encourage cross-disciplinary applications of academic and research expertise and provide funding for research  and outreach  initiatives. In fact, during fiscal year 2005 to 2006 alone, corporate partners invested nearly $18.9 million in NC State programs.
