Achieving through athletics

UC student athletes have distinguished themselves in the classroom and on the playing field, winning national titles and Olympic medals, gaining experiences to last a lifetime.

Going for gold

A total of 102 Olympians with University of California ties took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, representing six campuses and 25 countries, winning 43 medals.

Training champions

Gathering places

From UCLA’s hallowed Pauley Pavilion to UC Berkeley’s Memorial Stadium, site of “The Play,” UC athletic facilities host entertaining events. UC Davis’ Aggie Stadium, which opened in 2007, is in the process of becoming a zero-waste stadium.
