UC researchers, who helped develop the Herceptin breast cancer drug, are studying a variety of ways to create better treatments for cancer patients everywhere.
UC researchers are leading the way in developing key scientific advances through stem cell research, which could lead to treatments for such diseases as Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis and cancer. Nine UC campuses received $180 million in state funding to build stem cell research facilities.
