schematics modern walkie talkies ????
Hi all, I'm looking for schematics and PCB layouts of modern CB walkie talkies. I assume that modern transceivers are made with ICs instead of discrete components. Does anyone know a place (website?) where I can get such schematics? Thanks, Marc

Need help - no signal from TV antenna in the attic
Hi, I just moved in to the new house. There is a 4-way coax splitter in the attic, which has one input and four outputs (to different rooms). I know that previous owners had a cable (from the cable company). It looks like the cable was going into the same splitter in the attic, and then routed to rooms downstairs.... more »

Auto Company bailout--not political
...or at least not 'too' much so. I picked up a CD player from an '02 Scion the other day on Craigslist for $20. My thought was to somehow adapt it to fit in my '90 Corolla. To my surprise, when I researched the cable pinouts, they were exactly the same. That was one big problem solved, although the radio/cassette... more »

What gadget/s can't you currently leave your home without and why ?
What specific gadget/s (as in the brand and model) can't you currently (seriously or humorously) leave your home without and please say why, for anything named. It's fine if anything mentioned is primarily cell phone - mobile phone related, but it doesn't have to be.

WEP
I do not have WPA on my old wireless router. I never could set up WEP and still can't with VISTA. The goddamn thing will either not connect or connect with limited access and cannot connect to the internet. I have tried 64 bit and 128 it. I've tried 5 or 13 characters and 10 or 26 characters hex. Why won't this crap work right? I connect fine with... more »

General question about Panasonic Camcorder Service Manuals
Before springing for purchase of a poorly described service manual from an online vendor, I would like to know what data is provided (in general) in Panasonic camcorder service manuals, especially if there are schematics (not just block diagrams) with labeled signals at connector pins, any 'theory of operation' sections,... more »

Toshiba TV model 27A44, Regulated B+ Info
Hi, I have a Toshiba TV (27" pic) model 27A44 (mfg. 05/04) in my TV service shop (no SM). Customer told me the TV "sparks" once in awhile, then turns off. It didn't do it in the shop yet, but checking the HV, it was 30KV (higher than normal). I checked the regulated B+ and it measured +122V!... more »
