To ensure the federal government is meeting its responsibilities as a partner in progress, the Federal Coordinator has reached out to local stakeholders and elected officials in the hardest-hit areas of the Gulf Coast to identify their top-five priority public infrastructure projects funded through FEMA's Public Assistance (PA) program.
The goal is to identify and resolve any issues that local leaders believe are inhibiting their priority projects from moving forward. The Federal Coordinator works closely with FEMA and relevant state and local agencies to resolve project issues. Within 30 days of receiving local priorities, the Office of the Federal Coordinator strives to identify the barriers that prevent local, state and/or federal partners from reaching a decision and/or moving forward with these projects.
