Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) Program
Eligibility The SAVE Program is an inter-governmental information sharing initiative designed to aid benefit granting agency workers in determining a non-citizen applicant’s immigration status, and thereby ensure that only entitled non-citizen applicants receive federal, state, or local public benefits and licenses. It is an information service for benefit issuing agencies, institutions, licensing bureaus, and other entities. -
NOTE: The SAVE Program does not make determinations on any non-citizen applicant's eligibility for a specific benefit or license. -

Access to information contained in the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) databases, which includes information on over 100 million records. -
Determining a non-citizen applicant's immigration status, and thereby ensuring that only entitled non-citizen applicants receive federal, state, or local public benefits and licenses. -
Sources of information for benefit-issuing agencies, institutions, licensing bureaus and other entities. SAVE Updates **Effective October 1, 2008** The SAVE Program is adjusting its transaction charges. A uniform rate of $0.50 will apply to each request submitted electronically, with an additional $0.50 charge if the case is referred for additional verification. A rate of $2.00 will apply to each initial manual verification request submitted via the paper-based Form G-845, Document Verification Request.
