AUSTIN, Texas -- Federal and state dollars continue to quickly flow into Texas communities recovering from Hurricane Ike. To date, more than $664,000,000 in federal and state grants, U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) low-interest disaster loans, and public infrastructure funding has been approved or obligated. The Texas Governor's Division of Emergency Management (GDEM) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), partners in the state's recovery, provide the following summary of disaster assistance efforts as of Thursday, Nov. 6:
