The House Natural Resources Committee, Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife and Oceans, led by Del. Madeleine Z. Bordallo (D-GU), will hold an oversight and legislative hearing on the following:

  • The implementation of the 2006 amendments to the High Seas Driftnet Fishing Moratorium Protection Act related to Illegal, Unregulated and Unreported fishing; and

  • H.R. 5741 (Bordallo), To amend the High Seas Driftnet Fishing Moratorium Protection Act and the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act to improve the conservation of sharks. (The Shark Conservation Act of 2008)
