The Office of Risk Management and Analysis is responsible for synchronizing, integrating, and coordinating risk management and risk analysis approaches within the Department of Homeland Security.
The Office of Risk Management and Analysis will lead the Department’s efforts to establish a common framework to address the overall management and analysis of homeland security risk.
To accomplish this mission, the Secretary has established the following strategic objectives for the office:

Risk Steering Committee
The Risk Steering Committee is a cooperative body formed to ensure that risk management is carried out consistently and comparably throughout the Department. Chaired by the Under Secretary for National Protection and Programs and comprising component heads and other identified personnel, the committee assists in the framing of processes and procedures for the Department’s risk-management architecture, enabling collaboration and Department-wide agreement on risk-management efforts.
