Looking into the newrelic and fiveruns Rails performance tools.
Subcontracting for a company working with Pep Boys. I assume that work is about to come to a stop. http://tinyurl.com/5e62vl
@rent_a_railer Ramp-up on the testing methodology for someone new to a project would be GREATLY reduced with the common approach it offers.
@rent_a_railer FG does not do anything that my libraries didn't it just consolidates it really well.
With that said I have been able to help out others in there also. I'm not a total 'help vampire' ;)
Getting a lot of help maintaining momentum from the ICQ rooms lately. I don't know why I have not listened in on them more in the past.
Converting my RSpec homegrown mock/fixture factory libraries over to Factory-Girl for better reuse with the new Rails application generator.
Found motivation to give Phusion Passenger a go.
strange that rubygems will not just skip over the 503 when github is down. Back the github-approved youtube videos for now I guess :P
Looks like I'm going to rubyconf2008 this weekend http://rubyconf2008.confrea...
Running performance tests just for fun on some side projects. I'm actually pretty blow away at how easy it was to get 10 times improvement.

I'm creating a library of linux VMs because it has been too long since I have done any OS install myself. I blame OSX and Slicehost.
Contracted to do some JRuby work. Pretty pumped about diving into some hardcore JRuby rather then the tinkering I have done with it so far.
@dkubb Just caught your name in the #rubyconf irc as you left. You actually make it down there or just checking in on what your missing?
I guessing the lack of #rubyconf IRC traffic is from lack of power or has everyone moved over to Tweeting?
I'm on the hunt for more consulting work.
