Summary

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) promulgated a major rule on mining claims under the general mining laws. The final rule amends BLM's regulations governing mining operations involving metallic and some other minerals on public lands. GAO found that PWBA complied with applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
