Gov. Perry Launches 6th Annual Texas Round-Up
January 16, 2009AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today kicked-off the 6th annual Texas Round-Up and issued the statewide Governor’s Challenge, a competition among schools, cities, state agencies, companies, families and social organizations to win the Governor’s Cup and be named “Fittest in Texas.” The governor was joined by more than 300 students at Mathews Elementary School, whom he challenged to make exercise and healthy lifestyle choices part of their daily routine.
