Tennessee State University (TSU) College Bound Program - High School students 16+ yrs of age
 

College Bound (CB) is an intensive two (2) week summer academic workshop designed to introduce minority and female students to the profession of environmental engineering. CB participants will examine environmental issues from engineering, social, and political prospectives. CB is held in the College of Engineering, Technology and Computer Science on the campus of Tennessee State University (TSU) in Nashville, Tennessee. College Bound is sponsored by NASA-Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio and Tennessee State University.

Program activities include regularly scheduled enhancement classes in mathematics, science, communications, computer science andAfrican American Literature. The participants will interact with environmental engineers in the workplace, engineering faculty and engineering students. They will also engage in hands-on experiences in the College's engineering laboratory, oratorical contests and weekly cultural and fun trips. They will also participate in an awards ceremony which is held the last Saturday of the workshop.

Students will depart from GRC with knowledge that will be of value to them in career decision making and an awareness of additional educational opportunities and resources at GRC.

Students with GPA 2.0-3.0 are encouraged to apply.
