Gulf Coast Education Initiative Consortium

The Gulf Coast Education Initiative Consortium (GCEIC) and the Stennis Space Center Office of External Affairs, Education Office bring educators and administrators together in a partnership that promotes and supports regional education improvement.

The GCEIC follows the model of the nationally recognized Tri-State Education Initiative, a cooperative effort between NASA and education communities to work toward accomplishment of the National Education Goals.

The GCEIC includes school districts from Mississippi and Louisiana which serve more than 116,000 students, 6,000 teachers and 200 schools.

For more information about the Gulf Coast Education Initiative Consortium, please visit their Web site at: http://www.gceic.org/.
