Facing the Future Booklet - Click for PDF FileA recently published Defense Department booklet, "Facing the Future: Meeting the Threats and Challenges of the 21st Century," chronicles the Defense Department’s transformation since 2001.

The publication also highlights the transformation of the American military establishment – its forces, its organization and, most importantly, its mindset and culture. It tells of the skill and determination of America’s fighting forces and how their courage and example have ignited a freedom tide that is changing the face of the Middle East.
