“I am pleased that the Senate has moved forward on passing these important tax provisions. The House expects to act on both an AMT bill and an energy incentive and tax extenders package in the next few days, and we hope the Senate will work with us to quickly send a final package to the President.
 
“However, in keeping with our commitment to fiscal responsibility and pay-as-you-go budget rules, House Democrats will bring to the Floor a version of the tax extenders legislation that does not add to the national debt.”
