About the Bid Protest Process

GAO publishes a "Descriptive Guide" to aid those interested in GAO's bid protest process. The guide was most recently updated in 2006. GAO amended its regulations in June 2008 to reflect changes in GAO's juristriction and to make certain administrative changes. GAO intends to revise the guide in the coming months to reflect these regulatory changes. Until this update is completed, readers should consult the two Federal Register notices regarding the proposed rules and the final rules.
