Summary

GAO reviewed the Department of the Interior's Fish and Wildlife Service's new rule on the final frameworks for late-season migratory bird hunting regulations. GAO found that (1) the final rule prescribes late-season frameworks from which states may select season dates, limits, and other options for the 2007-2008 migratory bird hunting season and furthers the annual establishment of late-season migratory bird hunting regulations; and (2) the Fish and Wildlife Service complied with applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
