While faith-based organizations are encouraged to explore the possibility of partnering with government, there is no stream of funding that is specifically for faith-based organizations, nor does the Faith-Based and Community Initiative (FBCI) have its own pool of grant money to distribute.
Rather, the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, along with its seven Centers for FBCI, work with other agencies throughout the government where grant making occurs, to ensure faith-based and community organizations can compete equally with other organizations for Federal dollars. The various FBCI offices, including the one here at the US Department of Health and Human Services, were created to establish a level playing field for effective faith-based and community organizations interested in partnering with the federal government.
If you are looking for funding for your organization, please check out the following websites for grant information. When applying for a federal grant, please read the program announcement very carefully and follow all instructions.
