The Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense & Security (CHDS) has been the nation’s premier provider of homeland security graduate and executive level education since 2002. NPS and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security are partnering to pioneer the development and delivery of homeland security education programs for governors, mayors and senior homeland security leaders from across a wide spectrum of disciplines in local, tribal, state and federal government, and the military.

CHDS Holds First Annual Lacy E. Suiter Policy Forum

The Center for Homeland Defense and Security hosted the first annual Lacy E. Suiter Policy Forum and Executive Seminar for public and private homeland security officials in Monterey, Calif., Oct. 15-16. CHDS on National Terrorism Preparedness Institute’s Live Response

Recently, the National Terrorism Preparedness Institute (NTPI) presented Live Response with Al Ruechel, a 60 minute feature that showcases the scope and growth of the Center. Naval Postgraduate School Graduates Ninth Homeland Security Class

Thirty two of the nation’s top homeland security leaders received their master’s degree at the Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security on September 26, 2008. This marks the ninth commencement ceremony of the program that to date has produced over 200 graduates from around the country. Read more of this story.
