Reporter Michael Dobbs speaks at the National Book Festival.
Speaker Biography: Michael Dobbs is a reporter for The Washington Post and at present responsible for "The Fact Checker" column. He has spent much of his career as a foreign correspondent covering the collapse of communism and has served as the Post's bureau chief in Warsaw, Paris and Moscow. He has won numerous journalism prizes, including the George Polk Award for international reporting. His latest book is "One Minute to Midnight: Kennedy, Khrushchev and Castro on the Brink of Nuclear War" (Random House/Knopf, 2008), an hour-by-hour study of the Cuban missile crisis. He lives in Bethesda, Md.
