Reporter Kimberly Dozier speaks at the National Book Festival.
Speaker Biography: Award-winning CBS News correspondent Kimberly Dozier reported primarily on the war in Iraq from 2003 until she was seriously injured by a car bomb in 2006, as recounted in her book, "Breathing the Fire" (Meredith, 2008). She is the recipient of a 2008 Peabody Award and four Gracie Awards from American Women in Radio and Television, including the Grand Gracie Award in 2007 for her body of work in Iraq. Prior to her assignment in 2003, she was London bureau chief and chief European correspondent for CBS Radio News and anchor for BBC Radio World Service's "World Update." She has written for The Washington Post and The San Francisco Chronicle. She lives in Jerusalem and is currently on assignment in the CBS News Washington bureau.
