On October 1, 2004 the College of Business moved into a new ultramodern facility funded with a $3 million grant from the Earle P. Charlton Family Trust. The Charlton College of Business is the only AACSB International accredited business school in the region.

This state-of-the-art facility is home to hundreds of artists working in a variety of disciplines. Many of the spacious, well-lit studio facilities offer stunning views of the New Bedford Historical National Park and Atlantic Ocean. The Star Store is also home to a number of impressive exhibition spaces--most notably the University Art Gallery.

By choosing to come back to school and pursue your degree, you've taken a major step toward realizing your life-goals. We know it isn't an easy decision, nor is it an easy road. Many of our continuing education students work full time, have family responsibilities and have limited time available to study. That's why we do all we can to accommodate your schedule. For example, you have the option of taking courses one night a week for 14 weeks, or two nights a week for seven weeks.

School of Education, Public Policy and Civic Engagement
On June 12, 2008, the University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees approved the creation of a new School of Education, Public Policy and Civic Engagement at UMass Dartmouth. This exciting new school will bring teaching, research and community outreach assets from across the campus together to focus on challenges facing our region and Commonwealth.
