Texas A&M-Kingsville Breaks Ground For $28.6 Million Residence Hall

600-bed facility is first new residence hall construction in nearly 40 years

KINGSVILLE (Saturday, November 1, 2008) — Officials at Texas A&M University-Kingsville officially broke ground on the new residence hall at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the site near the intersection of Avenue B and Retama St. Construction will begin this month on the $28.6 million building. $2.3 Million U. S. Department Of Education Grant

Funding brings partnership with Del Mar College for engineering pipeline

Texas A&M University-Kingsville has received a grant from the United States Department of Education under the College Cost Reduction and Access Act. The university and its partner institution, Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, will receive a two-year $2.3 million Hispanic-Serving Institutions grant to develop services and strategies to enhance student success in engineering. The grants are awarded to develop and carry out activities to improve and expand institutional capacity to serve Hispanic and other low-income students. Read more»

Center At Texas A&M-Kingsville

$12 million building expected to be completed by January 2010

Officials at Texas A&M University-Kingsville broke ground on the new Student Recreation Center at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at the site on University Boulevard and Avenue C. Construction will begin this month on the $12 million building. It is expected to be complete by January 2010. Read more»
