Mount Mercy College to Host Special Showings of Dr. Martin Luther King Speech
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (January 15, 2009) --

In remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Mount Mercy College will hold two special celebratory showings of Dr. King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech on Monday, January 19 at 11:00 a.m. and Wednesday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m. Both showings will be held in Flaherty Community Room located in Basile Hall on the Mount Mercy campus.

Mount Mercy Hosts Opening Ceremony for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (January 09, 2009) --

In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, local colleges, businesses and non-profit organizations are organizing service and volunteer opportunities throughout the community January 15 – 22. The week-long service activities are part of the Martin Luther King National Day of Service. The public are invited to participate.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Mount Mercy never trailed, led by 15 points at halftime and by as many as 30 late in the game, and dominated Clarke in a 90-70 Midwest Collegiate Conference men's basketball victory on Wednesday at Hennessey Recreation Center.
