Francis Cardinal Spellman and the Holy See During World War II Join us for a presentation on the relationship between Francis Cardinal Spellman, archbishop of the New York Archdiocese from 1939 to 1967, and the Vatican during World War II.
The speaker will be Gerald P. Fogarty, S.J., the William R. Kenan Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Virginia, a noted expert on American and world Catholicism in the 20th century.
