Inspector General Report Confirms Iraq Reconstruction Still Failing

Rep. Waxman releases a fact sheet on a new report by the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction that reveals that, despite spending billions of taxpayer dollars, U.S. reconstruction efforts in key sectors of the Iraqi economy are not improving the lives of Iraqis. Iraq’s electricity and oil production have actually fallen below pre-war levels, and fewer Iraqis have access to potable water now than they did before the invasion.
