HUD Partners with the Washington National Opera (WNO)

HUD has partnered with several Public Housing Authorities and Colleges and Universities to open opportunities never thought of by youngsters growing up in public housing simply because they never saw an Opera performance before. This is a first time effort for HUD but one of a series of initiatives it is doing to make career opportunities available to low and moderate income folks. Efforts like these further HUD's goals and policies priorities of strengthening communities through family self-sufficiency programs, increased economic opportunities and provision of public and social services.
