Senator Murray listens to Scott Peterson, SAFE Boat company’s Vice President, during a tour of the production facility. SAFE Boats recently won a $145 million contract to build as many as 700 boats for the U.S. Coast Guard. Murray secured $41 million last year to stand-up four Marine Safety and Security Teams, and directed that one team be stationed in Seattle.
