War on Terror
While we have had extraordinary military successes in Afghanistan and Iraq, our forces still face many challenges ahead in the global war on terrorism. Military leaders have acknowledged that rooting out small networks of destruction around the globe will likely take some time. Continued efforts to secure stability in these struggling nations is just as critical to U.S. security as eliminating all remaining havens for threats to the U.S. worldwide.
