Increasing the Participation and Advancement of Women in Academic Science and Engineering Careers Program: On November 14, 2008 the National Science Foundation announced the availability of funding for the Increasing the Participation and Advancement of Women in Academic Science and Engineering Careers Program (Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance number 47.041). The purpose of this program is to develop systemic approaches to increase the representation and advancement of women in academic science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers, thereby contributing to the development of a more diverse science and engineering workforce. The application deadline is February 24, 2008. Eligible applicants include public institutions of higher education.
