It’s a pleasure to spend my evening here tonight with such a dedicated group of educators and community supporters.
The Teacher of the Year recognition highlights one year of teaching, but the proof of greatness lies beyond the title--it lies in the hearts and minds of the students who have been deeply affected. Undeniably, each day walking into the classroom, you have positively shaped the development of our children’s education and social maturity.
With quality teachers, like you all, in the classroom, it is encouraging to think about the future of our great nation with the innovation and leadership yet to come. One of you may have educated the next Congressman or Congresswoman from Northwest Florida –or even the next U.S. Senator.
I applaud your extensive efforts in helping out the communities of Northwest Florida. It is your dedication and love of teaching that gives others the skills and faith they need for a more successful life. You have become mentors to many in the community, and Northwest Florida is blessed to have you apart of its family. I wish you all the best.
