Tammi Sims (l) and Sandy Cioffi (r) present Senator Murray with a picture taken during their time in Nigeria. Cioffi and Sims are part of a Seattle-based documentary film crew that was recently released from a Nigerian prison after being held for more than 100 hours.

During their imprisonment, Senator Murray sent a letter to U.S. Ambassador Robin Renee Sanders in Abuja, Nigeria expressing concerns about the detainment and requesting the American embassy's assistance in securing their release. Later, Murray joined thirteen of her colleagues in sending a letter to the President of Nigeria requesting their release.
