The Better Business Bureau's
Business Library is a great resource for issues
such as check fraud, effective complaint handling, and financial advice.
The Internal
Revenue Service's website has a special section for small businesses
and the self-employed. It includes a checklist for new businesses and information
on meeting small business tax requirements.
STAT-USA, an agency in the U.S. Department of Commerce's Economics and Statistics
Administration, has a website that provides economic, business, and international
trade information produced by the U.S. Government that you can use to make
informed business decisions.
The U.S. Department
of Commerce - California webpage includes a directory
of state offices, covering International Trade, the Marine Fisheries Service,
and the Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration.
The
U.S. Patent & Trademark Office has a small business outreach webpage.

National Guard & Reserve Member Small Business Resources
The Small
Business Administration has a special program that offers assistance for small
business owners who are National Guard or Reserve members, and small businesses
who employ National Guard or Reserve members called up to active duty.

here if your small business has an SBA direct or guaranteed loan. You may
seek deferral for loan repayment, reduction in the interest rate, and other credit/financial
assistance. The SBA has a list of Veterans Business Development Officers in California
you can contact.
