2009 Presidential Inauguration Form
A limited number of tickets for the inauguration are made available to each Member of Congress. Seeing the inauguration is historic. It also involves standing outside in extremely cold weather for many hours under highly crowded conditions.
My office is currently accepting ticket requests from my constituents. The cut-off date for requesting tickets is December 1, 2008. To request tickets, please use my Inauguration Form.
I must emphasize that at this time I cannot assure you of tickets to the inauguration. I expect requests to be 10 times or even 50 times as great as the number of tickets that I have to distribute.
To improve your likelihood of obtaining inauguration tickets, I urge you to also apply for tickets with our California Senators:
Senators are allocated far more tickets than individual House members.
It may be possible to see the inauguration from several blocks away even if you do not have tickets.
Room reservation are scarce and expensive.
If you plan to be in Washington, D.C. during the inauguration, please contact our office so we can arrange tours of the U.S. Capitol and other important Washington, D.C. sights. These sights will be more available during the three days after the inauguration than the three days prior. Likewise, contact us any time you are coming to Washington, D.C. and would like to see the attractions. In fact, the sights of Washington will be more accessible at times other than the inauguration.
Visit the official website of the Inauguration.
Read the official release on ticket information , including an important fraud alert regarding anyone claiming to have tickets for sale.
