TO: Printing and Publishing Officials of the Federal Government

SUBJECT: Procurement of JCP O-60 Plain Copier Paper

In response to the many questions from agencies that wish to continue to use this grade of copier paper, it is still available from the Government Printing Office.

Executive Order No. 12783 recognizes that there are many legitimate reasons to use O-60, and it is incumbent on the ordering department to assure that they comply with these criteria before placing their order. Justifications with the orders are not required since this is the responsibility of the executive agency, not the Government Printing Office.
