Circular Letter No. 381

May 20, 1994

TO: Printing and Publishing Officials of the Federal Government

SUBJECT: Projected Increases in Printing and Binding Costs in Fiscal Years 1995 and 1996

To assist you in establishing your estimated printing and binding requirements for Fiscal Years 1995 and 1996, the Government Printing Office (GPO) is furnishing you the following estimates of projected cost trends for these requirements.

While GPO had previously estimated that the increase in costs of printing for Fiscal Year 1995 (over Fiscal Year 1994) would be 3.0 percent, current information now reflects a projected lower increase of 2.7 percent.

For Fiscal Year 1996, we expect prices to increase 2.8 percent over Fiscal Year 1995. We do not encourage the use of these percentages in estimating or pricing individual jobs. They are being provided to assist you in formulating your general budgetary requirements.

If you need additional information, please contact

Mr. William Guy,
Director, Office of Budget,
on (202) 512-0832.

Sincerely,

ROBERT G. COX
Superintendent,
Departmental Account Representative Division
