Ross Anthony, center, Director of the RAND Center for Military Health Policy Research, testifies on his organization's research.  He was joined at the first panel by Dr. Beatrice Alexandra Golomb, a consultant with RAND, and Dr. Joseph S. Cassells, Project Director, Institute of Medicine, National Academy of Sciences.


The second panel featured spokesmen for government agencies.  Testifying were, from left, Mark Brown, Director of the VA's Environmental Agents Service; Bernard D. Rostker, Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary of Defense for Gulf War Illnesses, Department of Defense; Dr. Frances Murphy, the VA's Acting Deputy Under Secretary for Health; and Dr. Sue Bailey, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, Department of Defense.
